We offer a vacancy for a research assistant (PhD candidate) (m/f/d) in the area of Supply Chain Management (Prof. Dr. David Wuttke) at the TUM Campus Heilbronn for a limited period of 3 years. The possibility of a doctorate is given and desired. The doctorate is in the field of supply chain management and relates to current research topics. Further tasks include the support of the digitalization of teaching, among others by means of virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR). The research assistant will also engage in teaching. This is a full time position with attractive salary.

We are looking for team players with...

  • excellent university degree (master or diploma in management, economics, mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering, psychology, or similar disciplines),
  • enthusiasm for virtual and augmented reality (ideally own experience),
  • basic knowledge in programming and good mathematical skills, and
  • strong English skills.

Your tasks include...

  • research in supply chain finance, chain risk management, and digital transformation using methods of game theory, econometrics and/or experiments,
  • supporting the digital transformation of teaching using virtual and augmented reality, in particular exploring innovative solutions for hybrid and cross-site teaching; and
  • teaching to the extent of 5 semester hours per week.
