Professor of Computer Science/Data Science (tenured)

The position is located in the area of machine learning, with a research focus in one or more of the following topics: artificial intelligence, deep learning, computational social science, agent-based modelling, causal discovery, or natural language processing. Additionally, experience applying machine learning techniques to finance or business is a plus.

This position is part of a new AI Initiative at the Frankfurt School, which includes the opening of a new multidisciplinary Centre for Human and Machine Intelligence and the launch of a new Master of Science degree program in Applied Data Science. The new professor will join the HMI Centre and teach in the new graduate program.

Candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science, or a related area, an established record of research excellence in one of the aforementioned areas of expertise, and excellent communication skills, and evidence of teaching effectiveness. German language skills are not required within the Frankfurt School.
